Schedule "B" Service Intervals for ATF and Diff

For the 2004.5 Ram 2500 2WD CTD, I have a few questions regarding the required service interval under "Schedule B" (?) as the truck is used for towing.

How often does the Differential fluid have to be changed? Every 15,000 miles? Does it take 75W90 or 75W140? Would Mobil 1 or Redline GL-5 75W90 be sufficient?

How often does the transmission fluid/filter have to be changed under Schedule B? Every 30,000 miles?

Thanks

Pig,

I would change out the diff fluid at 15k, at least the first time. Mine was very dirty with the gears getting broke-in etc. I changed it again at 30k and the fluid was a whole lot cleaner. Personally I use Mobil 1 75w90 because I have heard nothing but good things about it, and nothing bad and it is available at Autozone. If you pull heavy and in heat, the 75w140 is supposed to be good too. I am sure you would be fine with either weight. Any GL-5 rated diff fluid should be fine.

I change my diffs and tranny fluid every 15k. That is what the book says if you pull alot or in extreme conditions. Otherwise, 30k is fine. Mine would be fine at 30k too.... since I don't pull alot.....but I do it at 15k anyway to be on the safe side.
