I got the 3250 in and it is bad. Slight rattle in neutral, but not bad. Slightly heavier pedal pressure but not bad either....
With the smarty on 9 and the dr.p box on 100 this truck will flat out get it, cant waith to see what my phat shaft does....
Peter at southbend does a jam up job, the fit and finish of his clutches are top notch, a little pricy but everyone knows, you get what you pay for...
I cant wait to try the wild thing on the smarty...

I cant believe what a good clutch will do, can you say 33' s braking loose in 3rd...
This clutch rocks. I just need to get used to it... Is the double disk southbends suppose to rattle in neutral? If I bring the rpms up to 1000-1100 it quits rattle..

yep,

The SBC DD will rattle in neutral. Adding RPm seems to make it go away. You can add a harmonic balancer, the Fluidampr (pricey) which will eliminate the rattle.

That clutch will do more than break 33s loose in 3rd, I can break mine loose in 4th with dual 34s, it can take it.

About the damper eliminateing the rattle... it didnt on my truck.

Did it "not get it" with the stock clutch?

Ive needed a stronger clutch for 2 years now but it only slips if I got WOT before the boost comes on but 90% of the time it holds and pulls hard.

So does it honestly get it better or just doesnt slip?

Thanks

It doesnt slip. If you cant put the power to the ground you dont really know what you truck can do, if yours is holding for you a new clutch probably wont help you much but I couldnt runn anything over 3/2 on my tst without killin my clutch on a WOT run.
