Arrow Saw something interesting today (not good) just read!

Hello,

Was going down I-35 W here just north of Ft Worth TX today. The traffic was backed up for about 35-40 minutes and going about 5-10 Mph. As we get closer to the "problem", I'm in the right lane and see flashing blinkers from about 15-20 cars away. I know we have to be getting close to getting out of this traffic. As I drive closer to the "accident" I notice its a HUGE fifth wheel trailer that has the Ford SUPER DUTY add all over the back (test something or other). As 20 other cars are rubber necking at the truck pulled over I notice its one of the advertising mules they have on the Ford site about the F-450.
The trailer and the truck are splashed with a HUGE add advertising the NEW F-450.... I was driving and didn't have time to study the add but it was one of the trucks that is on the Ford site. Its some type of advertising test mule they are putting a million miles on or something ( I read and watched the VID on the Ford site)

HERE IS THE PUNCH LINE ~ The hood was up and liquid on the ground just in front of the truck on the ground. As I was rolling at 5 Mph I saw two guys in sitting on the ground with both doors open toward the median, all the flashers on Etc.....
Just thought this was some REALLY bad press for the time they were sitting there with about a million cars looking "RUBBER NECKING" at this HUGE Ford billboard of the new F-450........... Just thought to myself WOW ! Not good a good day for the Ford guys, or the factory!

Ford could hire a wrecker to follow that rig a mile back, just in case. A CTD wrecker.

No joke,,, I guess this would have been a much better story because a picture speaks a million words... and better yet you would see in the picture exactly what I just described.....

If I was rolling along at 5mph, in the right lane and they were out there, obviously from Ford.......I would have had to roll down my window and say something, "Need a real truck to tow you back?", "Keepin' the found on road dead tradition alive and well I see, Good Work!!" , " I thought the 6.4L was gonna cure all these abandon fords on the side of the road???" Or something just as simple as goosing my truck a couple times as I rolled on by with laughter coming loudly from the cab!!

I think all the trucks are good in there own right, to each its own on what they like. Who cares, I like DC.. But I agree with you 100%, I grew up as a dollar is a dollar and all these trucks are expensive what ever some one wants to own... It would be a bit disheartening to hear 'negative stuff' after dropping $55K....... Cant wait to get my new truck in a few weeks...

I'm sure there has never been a Cummins break down while testing, huh?

Sometimes I wonder how old some of you really are. Just because you don't like a certain product, doesn't make it bad. I'm sure we could list a bunch of design flaws the 5.9 has or had. That doesn't make it a bad engine. Grow up and be happy you live in a country that affords you the luxury of so many choices.

Guardrail, you're right on. Empathy is not abundant here!

In life you get what you sow, more then you sow, and latter then you sow!!! Just as well be something good.

You must mean '...BUT for the grace of God, go us...', right? I should think more appropriate here would be 'But for the Grace of God, go us(and go we will - in our CTD's!!)' Sorry Turd -er, Ferd drivers, no sympathy here(see sig). It would have been extremely difficult for me NOT to have made some rude comment(more likely a rude gesture), but I must agree in the end, anyone can have roadside issues. Just be glad when it ISN'T you, eh? :-)
