Just curious about this one. I know hitting 1500F is not good but if you get into it and look up to see 1500F whats the odds youve done any damage?
I need to find some way to hook up an audible alarm on the pyro so I know when Ive crested 1400

If you hit 1500 degrees briefly, I'd say the chance of damage is 0%. I hit it fairly routinely for a few seconds. Well, I say I hit 1500 degrees-that's as high as the gauge reads. It probably goes higher than that.

Ive hit 1500 degrees in mine several times but only held it for maybe two seconds. I think everything is fine if you just hold it for a few seconds, or at least mine has been so far, and i KNOW some of these trucks that you see pullin the sled are over 1500* when theyre on the track. I think as far as a safe temp. to hold for a period of time is around 1250* or 1300* max. A little audible alarm would be pretty cool, or maybe an inicator light that warns when you reach 1400*s. You just have to train yourself to keep a close eye on your gauges.
