Question Sacramento Trans Shop

The time is finally here and I'm going to step up to a built tranny. The 47 in my 01 is going to frag before too long. So far I'm looking at heading down to the Fresno area to get a Goerend built trans from Brown's Diesel down there...but that's 2.5 hours away. I'd much rather get a built tranny here in the Sacramento area in case something goes wrong with it. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop that knows 47re's and has experience building them with custom vavle bodies and converters in the Sacramento area?

I'm also planning on going with a billet input shaft as well, if that matters.

I just had my goerend high pressure valve body and torque converter and a couple other small things installed by jr's transmission in Auburn.

I went to them on a referal from a performance shop up near Auburn. I live in Meadow Vista, so it was very close to my house.

They did a good job, and I have had no issues.

You can't go wrong calling up some of our local diesel shops and asking what local tranny shop they will recommend

If your decided on Dave's tranny Reb is your best best!! I bought a Billet Input, V.B. and T.C. from Reb and I feel very good about the deal and service I recieved! BTW, I've had one of the "other" top trannys and I can not even start to say how much better Daves are and mine was only upgraded! Good luck to ya either way if I can help in any way just lmk. Jeff

I'd sat Reb over at Brown's too..... I'm just a little biased though. LOL.
