Question S300 w/waste-gated exhaust housing question

Is there suppose to be a gasket between the waste-gate housing and it's cover-plate?

I've got a leak there I'm trying to correct.

Thanks folks.

Negative. I think I've seen some made, but dont know who made 'em. Most use high temp silicone - seems to work ok.

Yeah, thanks for responding.

I was just surfing the internet and found a number of references to folks using the Copper RTV with favorable results.

Apparently folks like Engineered Diesel makes a substantially thicker cover-plate to help address the issue. It appears Source Automotive may have them as well.
