1.) If I install one, and also remove the silencer ring, will it whistle?

I mean, I want to hear it...


2.) is it easy to revert back to stock in the event I need warranty repairs
and don't want to take a chance on the dealer denying service

I have one for my 04.5 and absolutly love it . You will hear it all right!. It whistles almost constantly! Even at 0 boost you hear it for a minute while the turbo spools down

I have lots of whistle. When i engauge my high idle and run it up to 1400rpms it sounds like a jet dryer.

Like everyone else says....it really whistles! I love mine! Its probably as easy as any of the other intakes out there to take off. There's a couple of bolts that hold the airbox in place...and then the clamps for the intake tube...

You just should call your local dealer and ask how they feel about a CAI and warranty issues. I've been to 2 different dealerships and neither said anything about my intake or exhaust mods...

Anyways...you'll really like the S&B...I'm in the process of putting an AMSOIL nano dry filter on mine. I'm too impatient when it comes to these darn oiled filters....

it whistles a little but nothing like AFE, it is a great intake for the money and is very easy to install
