RWAL wiring saver!!

I has been awhile since I have been under my truck, and this weekend I replaced my spare tire, With valve near rear too! And I saw a fix I did when I first got the truck,,, When I bought the truck, the spare was in the bed, And when I was fighting it back into it's hanger I noticed that the driver side threaded post from the hanger was wearing the insulation off the wires for the RAWL, So I got a hunk of heater hose, and installed it on the threaded rod to keep the wires from shorting out,, I am not sure if this was caused be the lack of a spare up there, and the rack swaying about, But why I dont care, all I know now is that the issue wont happen again!
Just thought i'de share this with you!
Peter.

I fixed my rwal wiring for good on my old 91. I tucked it out of the way after removing the box and tossing it in the trash. Come to think of it, I cut off my spare hanger also. I never had a problem with either of them since.
