RV 275's, Too hot ?

With no fueling box like an Edge comp for extra boost, am I going to see overly high temps with just 275's. Do i need to get a boost fooler? Is this different than a boost elbow? Whats going to be the safest route without shelling out the money for a box? As you can see I have the air and exhaust taken care of.

From my understanding that if you use just the 275's you're not gonna see any real difference in you power.I would add a boost fooler so you can run a little more boost so you can burn that extra fuel.If you don't have some sort of boost fooler you may get an over boost code which may turn a check engine light on.If it were me i would get a boost fooler.Just a suggestion.

Re:RV 275's, Too hot ?

I ran a set of 275's on my '01 ETH. I never dyno'd the truck stock, so I have no clue what they added. With the 275's and a PS boost module and elbow it made 233 HP on a Mustang Dyno. Peak boost was ~30 PSI and EGT never went over 1150F.

On average 275's should add close to 40 HP on an ETH when acompanied by a boost module. The ECM will defuel with 275's on the ETH without a boost module.

275's and a timing box combined on my truck was good for ~300 HP..... ;D

No, you will not have an EGT problem, you will LOVE the additional power. HO's have smaller stock injectors so the 275's wake it up great. I added mine after a box which has the boost fooler though, so I am not sure if you will need one. My truck became a whole new machine after I put the 275's in though..

I didn't notice any real difference in heat. If you don't have them get gauges. Zino is right when he said you will "love" the additional power. It really wakes up the HO. The only question is how long before you get used to it and want or need just a little more? :-

George, you got that right. Hasnt been a year and I want more!!!!!! Gonna send the TST PM3 back to convert it to a comp model. That will tide me over for another 6 months or so, and then I suppose it will be bigger injector time. Another 6 months of bliss and then hummm HX40>>..... Will it ever stop????

Re:RV 275's, Too hot ?

I now have my RV275's installed. It really made a difference in the power. The EGT's have increased some but I still can't get it to go beyond 1200 even at extended WOT.
