Anyone have this too? Mine is rusting on the passenger side. The rubber on the lip molding is bulging out, and there is rust under it.

Just wondering what I can do besides replace it. Ill prbly just leave it alone and see how long it takes for the door to fall off...lol.

I know you said you don't want to replace it but, that's an easy to replace item. I replaced the drivers side moulding on my 96 for $35 4 years ago. Don't know todays price.

Also, does that thing rusting out accountfor the windoe being kinda sloppy in the opening? Mine operate fine, just if there half way down and i close the door, tekinda rattle, no big deal just annoying.

Dealer item about $55 very easy to fix, no tools needed. Defferent part # for each side, I might have them when I get home.

Mine is too! You can see the "rust bubbles" under the rubber strip. I have a bbaadd rust problem on my truck. We need some new lower door panels

the part numbers for a 97 are 55275504 & 55275505. I just picked mine up at the dealer. I paid 42 bucks each.

Yea, my driver's side one is rusted too. I've replaced that part on other vehicles before, just pull up on it and let the clips release.
