Is your truck a Quad cab? LMC truck only carries standard cab/ extended cab patch panels. I did my lower door & couldn't find a QC patch panel, had to make a standard/ext cab panel work. Here is a link to my thread, it shows the panel step by step & there is a good pic showing the panel extension that I had to make. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ht=lower+doors

Rust usually starts on the bottom of the door sill and on the lip where the skin is rolled over it. If its a small amount of rust you can strip it and spray it down with some zinc/phosphoric acid rust treatment and then paint over it. If its really bad youll need to cut out the bad sections and weld in patches or a new door skin.
Personally I like the patch approach better. If youre handy with a MIG its not so bad.
Just remember to use a zinc primer under the primer/sealer to keep the rust out later on.

yeah it def started there I put something that turns the rust to primer, and it worked for awhile, but now it is actually to the point where you can see it from the outside of the truck, my truck is white so it really shows up,

and yes my truck is a quad cab, My friend bought a new door and it cost him 600$ I think he said, thats nuts, I have a Volkswagen scirocco as a project car that is 20 years older than my truck and it has about the same ammount of rust in the same spot,
also I am handy with a MIG so i will try to source a new skin or patch pannel.

Mine did that, I rolled the truck on the right side this winter and the insurance company bought me two new doors, a fender, a bedside, a taillight, a bumper, and a grille. It was a real light roll so there was no damage to the cab.

Balsleys number is 724-455-6100. The problem with these doors is that water gets into the inside of the door & what doesn't escape out of the holes just lies in between the doorskin & inner door skin. Since the outer skin is bent around the inner skin, it can't escape. When I repaired my door, I coated the inside of the door bottom with brushable seam sealer to seal the seam where the 2 skins meet. I will do the same to my new doors & should never have a problem again.

Ugh, thats a lot of money. personally Id get an air compressor and a cutoff wheel and slice up a square around the rusted area and take it off. take a DA air sander and take a couple inches of paint off around the edges and treat it with zinc etch primer. you can paint the patch from behind the door if you pull the inside trim off.
White is real easy to work with. just make sure you use a white sealer / primer if you can find it. You can mask along the ridge in the lower door skin or use the door trim to hide the line.
