Smile It Runs!!!!!

Well, during all the cranking I thought I was either going to burn up the starter or drain my batteries... but, it finally started. It didn't take long to figure out I had forgotten to hook up the oil supply line for the power steering pump... nearly 2 gallons of oil on the driveway is hard to miss! So, after that was resolved I fired 'er up again and all seems good.

When I get home from work tomorrow I'm going to do the 20 minutes @ 2000rpm for the cam break-in and then I'll go for a road test. Stay tuned...

I put about 20 miles on the truck last night... drove it to work this morning also. Runnin' good except that I have a MIL (0113) for the IAT that I can't get rid of. When I erase it, it pops right back up. Also, it is running really cold... around 160-165. Guess I'll have to double check the t-stat but I'm 99% confident that it said 180 on it, not 160.

haha i made the same mistake once.......installed a 160 tstat

Mil 0113

Anybody know how I can get rid of this MIL for the "IAT sensor voltage too high"?... I have a scanner but when I erase the code it comes back immediately. I am running with the Edge turned off but I still need it hooked up for the boost fooler.

I pulled the t-stat tonight just to verify that it is the correct part... it is a 180 degree t-stat. I also boiled some water to test it and it works exactly as it should. But, I still have not seen temps in the truck over 170 (at most) and most of the time it's right at 165. Should I be worried? Or is it just a combination of fresh coolant and the cooler weather (high of 70) we've been having lately? My truck had always run pretty cool, but not this cool.
