I have recently added a piece of cardboard between the rad.,transcooler and intercooler. It has bben working fine and helps get the heat faster. THe temp has been getting to about 180-190. Today the outside temp was about 30 and I took a trip of about 100 miles up the x-way my speed was around 75mph and I noticed the temp get up towards the top of the safe zone about 210 I would guess. As I slowed down the temp went down to maybe 200. My question is, What is the safe operating temp an my CTD. I hate to get out and remove the cardboard but I will do so If that is what it takes just looking for some advise for the cold weather.

When running cardboard or whatever in between the rad and intercooler,cut a 8 in circle in the material right in front of the fan clutch,that away the fan clutch will stay cold and not cycle on and off, and will allow the intercooler to work somewhat in a limited way,and I have found at temps below 40 it helps keep the temp of the coolant more even without the temp sway. I leave my piece of hard plastic in,if I am not towing all the way up to 50 deg,especialy on the highway,now around town in alot of stop and go it will climb.Goodluck Rick
