Run away truck

Hey guys, quick queston for all who may know. I have just experienced what I call run away truck, in that when I was cruizing up the expressway at approx. 65-70 just minding my own when I let off of the pedal the truck insists on continuing to accelarate to the point of I put the trans into N and the rpm's even climbed up to about 1700 for a very split second. Did this four or five times. Does anyone have any answers? O even any idea what I am talking about??

Are you maybe running too much pressure causing excess fuel after you let off? I notice my truck does that when I have things turned up!

I noticed sometimes when shifting with my BD TD on extreme the revs stay up when I'm off the peddle to shift...

(...hardly what I'd call a runaway though)

Fisherguy, mine does the same when im on it and i shift kinda slow. I think luken mentioned a while back that is normal because of the fuel still bein dumped into the engine. Dont quote that though. : )

Just think of it as a reason to speed shift all the time!
