rpm guage

well I searched and didn't find anything in the wiki, so my apologies if an over sight was made, but I can't get my rpm gauge to work. It had a broken wire, so i spliced it back together, but later found the whole wire was dangling under the cab. I have a 92 w-250. just wondering where to hook the gauge back up at. thanks.

Mine has a magnetis sensor that is bolted to one of the oil pan bolts in the front of the engine and it senses two magnets as they passs by. If the fan belt ever breaks the whole set up down there gets a real wacking.
