I have had my truck since June and was just curious about a couple of things.

1. Even when I stomp it, the highest I get is a little over 2250 rpm's. Is this pretty common in a stock truck with an automatic?

2. I cleaned the tps connector and used dielectric grease since my transmission goes in and out of lockup sometimes. This seemed to work until it warmed up around here. It seems that the transmission shifts best when it is between 20 - 35 degrees. I read a thread about drilling out the back of the tps to spray contact cleaner in it then sealing the hole with silicone. Would that be the next step? Transmission shifted fine for the first three months I had it.

install a gsk and you will spin past 2250 rpms. once your tranny locks in OD past 50 mph it shouldnt unlock unless you mash it to the floor really fast.

Check and make sure your trhottle cable isin't stretched and/or frayed, there is a recall on this, but it might be to old for the dealer to fix for free.

Have some hold the throttle all the way down, then grab the linkage under the hood by hand and see if it will go farther, if it does you need a new cable.
