Rod and Don M. did it again!!

Guys,
I finally got to dyno my 94' 12v and was quite pleased with the results. We used a Mustang 1750 load dyno and the results were:

490 H.P. @ 2520 rpm's
1123 Torque @ 2250 rpm's

Rod the QS B-1 and the Formula 1 injectors worked great. I really feel that tuning would get me a bit over 500 H.P. I don't understand why my peak power is at such a low RPM number when I have a 4,000 governer spring kit and 60lb springs. Nonetheless the 12v injectors from Don M. and the Turbo from Wildcat worked really well.

Thanks,

Meacham Evins

The cam has to do with at what rpm max power is the 4gsk and 60lb springs just help hold the power for a longer time.

Meach,

The 12 valve is cammed, stroked and most importantly "discharge curved" for a power band to be right where you made max power at.

With the load available with the 1750 Mustang you can make the power where you should.

Using a Dynojet where the rollers are lighter we see HP curves higher in the rpm band. Most guys tune for higher rpm power with timing, etc. I bet you could have made more HP with a more conservative timing set up.

Its too bad we cant pound the air into the engine at 2200rpm. HP would be very high compared to what we are doing now at 3000-3500.

Good numbers nonetheless

Don~

man I wish my truck had all that stuff. Well actually I just wish i had a working tranny right now but if I look outside my window all I see in my baby sitting on our 35' GN drag waiting to go to a buddys house so I can drop the tranny and see what little monster is makeing that nice hammering sound in the tranny right behind the imputshaft
