Rock Guard

I am looking for a rock guard for my 2007 3/4 ton that will mount on the trailer hitch to protect my toy hualer. I have looked at tow tector, just curious if any one has one of these or used one. Any suggestions would be great I am moving to Alaska and going up the Al-Can, I really just want to protect my trailer.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

Thats kinda what I am looking for, I was thinking more along the lines of the kind that go the whole distance acros the truck. Also not so much a mud flap but a sweep skirt? I guess thats what it would be called. but if you can swear by any I am willing to look at them.

Thanks
Jake

Best one I found and am using is in this link...

http://www.cloudrider.ca/market/index/page/towflaps

No wobbling, can adjust its width and next to no flapping.

I put a NK Rocktamer on my truck to protect the trailer on a trip to Alaska. It worked great except I got about 1 mpg less on the trip which I attribute to the additional air resistance by the Rocktamer. Others have reported the same experience. I use it now only if I'm planning to travel on gravel roads.

Thats one area I never considered with regards to mileage...thanks for posting. I think I will remove the flaps for my trip south tomorrow. Anything and everything helps nowadays.

Thanks again.

Scotty
p.s. I put a wind deflector on my truck and maybe because I have a mega cab long bed and the deflector had to mount more forward then on a quad cab, I lost about 1 mpg pulling travel trailers. Kind of makes sense. LOL
