Roadworthy 35" tires?

I'm looking for a fairly quiet, decent tread life 35" tire. Currently I'm running a ProComp XTerrain which are supposed to computer designed for quietness. They aren't bad for a fairly agressive tire, but have a decent roar to them, however they ride very well.

I know the BFG TA/KO are a good all around tire. They'd be ok, but are reasonably expensive. I was also looking for something that looks a little different. I love the look of my X-terrains, especially on the sidewall. Just wanting a look similar.

Anyone running the new Nitto Dune Grappler? They look like they'd be a decent road tire (pattern similar to BFG TA/KO) but have different sidewall look to them. http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Edunegrappler

Just looking for a good road tire that will last and most importantly be "Quiet." Has to be at least a 35". Any suggestions appreciated.

I think the Toyo Open country A/T's are a nice more street tread tire in 35's.

Yeah, DTR member RowJ likes his Toyo's and recommended them to me in the past. Not a bad looking tire at all. Looks similar to the Nitto Terra Grappler. Looks like they have a 325 in a 17" wheel (to fit my American Eagle 17" wheels)......I assume that is about a 36" tire. Not sure I can clear that with a 2" leveling kit, although I have no issues with my 35" ProComps now. I'm fine with the fact that they are bigger. I don't want to lower the gear ratio since I like the 35's with the 410 gears.

I'm running a set of trail cutter a/t's and love them. Very quiet, very smooth, balanced well (one required 1 oz, another required 1.5oz, and the other two didn't need any), were cheap ($650 mounted and balanced), and I've got 40k on them so far and there's still half tread left. Granted I do a lot of highway driving but still. They also have the same load rating as the BFG All terrains. They are load rang D.

Yeah, I think I remember when you got those. Didn't you have Nitto Terra Grapplers before that? If so, how did they ride and last for you? Seems they didn't last well....can't remember.

These?

Looks like they would ride pretty well. Good looking road/all around pattern. Local tire shop or chain shop?

Thanks, Matt

Right brand, wrong style. I have the A/T. That's the R/T. I had the nittos before and they rode nice and were quiet but did require a decent amount of weight to balance (one tire had 8oz). I got about 40k out of them. They were a decent tire but once they wore down a little bit and the rubber got hard they sucked in the rain.

Whoops. My bad. I have the RT's, not the AT's. One way or another that tire pic isn't what I have. Sorry about that.

Ok, checked on these (above). These are the fat daddy specialty tires in this picture. Here is what they really look like for our trucks:

Not quite the same effect.....but not bad.

A local dealer says these (M/T):

ride about as well and as quiet as these (A/T):

I'm not sure how. Can anyone substantiate that? He also said that Toyo owned Nitto and that they were similar tires?

I just saw you've got the M/T's. Got any pictures of your truck with them? I see you like how they ride, but how quiet are they? My X-terrains ride very well, but do sing a little going down the road. Mostly trying to quieten the ride some but retain good looks. I do realize there is no magic bullet, just trying to find the happy medium.

Ok, nevermind, I see your pics. They look good. Still, how is noise from them?
