Roadtrip mileage numbers

Everyone is always asking about different revo settings and mileage, so I thought I'd post my results from my road trip over the weekend.

Going out the truck was basically empty. Had the 5th wheel hitch in, two adults at about 340lbs, and around 300lbs of stuff.

1st settings - 69mph at 1750 rpms w/ Revo set to sw3, torque 4, rail pressure stock, timing default, wastegate off. Got 18.65mpg. If I could have had the bed cover on, it may have picked up a little more.

2nd settings - everything the same except changed the timing to 4. Got 19.98mpg.

Coming back I had a big 5th wheel in tow that we just bought. It's 11,549lbs empty with a pin weight of 1850lbs. It's about 12ft tall.

1st settings were the same as the 2nd setting above. About 1/4 tank was 69mph and the other 3/4 tank at 62-63mph. Got 10.39mpg.

2nd settings towing were no electronics at all. 69mph. Got 9.52mpg.

How about at 85? How can you find a place to drive that slow in big ole wide open Nebraska? LOL.

My truck does 17-18 mpg at 70 on flat no wind....

Smarty helps.

Wasn't in Nebraska. Besides, it was all the self control I could muster to go that slow to check mileage. Then the crazy state of Illinois has a speed limit of 55mph if you're towing. That's where I was going 62-62.

California has reduced speeds to in some places...

The way I see it...trailers cause traffic...and slow trailers cause even more!

They are not solving a thing by slower down those in tow....

Throughout the state, California is 55mph towing a trailer. Even when other freeway speeds is 75.
