Rides like a lumber wagon!

I just did a few add ons and now my truck rides a lot more rough than I like! Not sure, but I think the 2 inch spacer leveling kit is the culprit. Anybody else experience this? I haven't narrowed it down yet, but in 1 day I put in the spacers, added the Fabfours bumper to the frontend, and added 5 more pounds of air to the front tires so they are now at 60 psi. My sig reads that I have Bilsteins, but they are not installed yet. Still factory shocks. If the spacers are the cause of the rough ride, will the Bilsteins help at all? I want my stock ride back! Is it okay to run less pressure with 200 pounds of extra bumper hanging out front?

I had spacers on my 2000, with a big bumper and stock shocks. It rode worse as well. I think it changes the suspension geometry a bit and causes it to react differently to road conditions. I dont know nothin about nothin, but thats my thoughts on the matter. And I rarely found an airstation around thatcould get more than 50psi in the 315's on that thing, never had any problems or abnormal tire wear and those rims were 16X7's.

Are they the 5100's? I would not panic too much until after you got them on and still get a ruff ride. I put on the same shock when I did the lift, and the ride is just like stock. We played around a bit with the factory shocks we took off, and at 44,XXX miles they were more than done.

You have to remember that when you add a leveling kit you change the weight balance of the truck. Then you added weight in the form of an aftermarket bumper, that also affects the ride. The shocks my compensate for it some but probably not entirely.
