replace molded carpet w/rubber
I found a company that sells a premolded drop in carpet replacements that are carpet, vinyl or rubber. anyone tried these for fit? always wanted to get away from carpet because of mud, dirt etc.

I still have carpet in this truck, but my 99 QC I had, I put the rubber flooring in it and I loved it. Fit perfect and could just hose it out. I think it cost around $300.00 though. outstanding quality. Does it have the insulation on the backside already?? Gotta have it....

Man you guys are mind readers! I was just scrubbing my nasty wet carpet today when I decided to look up rubber replacement mats. I found one on jcwhitney.com for $179. That includes the molded rubber mat with 40oz. padding. I think that's a good deal myself. I bought some molded replacement carpet from jc before and it was perfect. Fit great and lasted well. If anyone finds a better deal for a club cab let us know.

Yea there are a few bolt line up probs but nothing a razor can't fix. at least with the carpet. I have'nt ever bought the rubber floor from them but I might risk it. Anything would be better than my goat smelling nasty carpet!

Yea I have the club cab and it will "fit" I hope. I read those reviews as well but I have'nt found anyone else at that price. I might order and pray it fits. I am going to call a few others I found on google. When I get one I'll let you guys know where i get it from and how it fits.

I went back and read all of the feedback for the jcwhitney mat and overlooked the positive. It is possable that the negative's are because of user installation. I have installed a few of their custom carpets, one on my truck and acouple on friend's, and none of them are exact. It is the same way with aftermarket body parts. There will always be things to drill, cut and mod to fit. But all in all with patients and fine tuning you can usually get this stuff to work. I guess these companies don't have factory molds for their parts so they get as close as they can and leave a little extra for us to tailor to suit. Like I said before though, ANYTHING is better than this goat smelln' carpet.
In your case Forrest I'll order this jc stuff and pm u and let u know how it fits and maby you can just get a roll of rubber to finish out the rest of your cab. I'll measure it and tell you how much it will cover and u can see how much more you need. If it joins under the rear seat you can prob get away with it. Maby even cover it with a under seat organizer. That's the one thing they don't offer for my truck and wish they did. Everything I put under my rear seat slides out, I guess I'll make one outta wood and cover with roll on bed liner.
