Starting fluid always worked for me. Spray and dab, spray and dab. Make sure you air it out for a while after this procedure.

Greased Lightning is a less smelly solution. It works great on the carpet in the house.

I've had decent luck with Greased Lighting. Works alittle better than simple green in my experience.

Try Mopar Super Kleen. It is only available at the dealer, but the stuff is great for removing grease from carpets or clothing.

I've had good luck using Gojo to remove most any oil based stain and it's fabric safe...
You'd have to shop vac the water out of the carpet after you rinse it.

Use Dawn dish washing soap. Use it liberally as it foams up pretty good. It will take the grease right out. Smells pretty good too. -Glen
