Removing Fender Flares.....

My truck came without fender flares.......

So, I bought some, had then painted, and then installed them myself.

I bought some H2s and will soon have a 4.5" lift kit.

I see some trucks without the flares and they look good!

I have been thinking about removing the fender flares once the lift kit goes on.

Anyone in the same boat as me?

Should I keep them or remove them?

Personally I like the look of flares - and I really like the way you have them setup with the two tone look. Your truck looks very sharp. If you've had them on for a while you may want to seriously consider leaving them on, as they may have rubbed through the cear coat on your truck unless you taped behind them. I've got flares on my truck and they get a lot of compliments.

I like them also. I really like them when they are two toned, like mentioned above. I say leave um. D, your truck looks great already, should look bad *** with the lift! What lift did you decide on anyway?

Fabtech 4.5" with the Dirt Logic shocks.......I bought a Thuren Adjustable Track Bar and Thuren 4"-6" Extended Sway Links...

After some digging around, emails, and phone calls, I learned that the new era Dirt Logics were re-designed and actually were developed from a King engineer.

As the others have said, it looks great the way it is.

Another point to consider: I have similar offset wheels and larger tires, and the sand and gravel that the tires have kicked up have badly chipped the paint on my rocker panels. I've installed mud flaps to help for now, and I'm looking to pick up a set of flares to hopefully eliminate or at least minimize future damage.

another vote here for keeping the flares, and they sure do look great with the two-tone theme you've got going on.

The Flares look good in general. They look even better 2-tone on your truck. And, they're functional and will keep the crud off your nice paint. No brainer, keep them.

I think the flares would look better if they were painted to match, as in paint the top part black, the bottom silver.
They wouldn't "stand out" as much as having the bottom color overlap onto the main body color.

(the silver looks a little off to me too though)

Another "keep them" vote.

IMO your truck looks much better with the flares.

The little things like flares can make a huge difference. My truck didn't have flares when I bought it. I added some Power Wagon flares a couple months back. Even the basic black PW flares made a big difference in how much better I like my truck now.

By the way, your truck is one of my absolute favorites. IMO its a great looking truck that nots way over the top.

IMO - your truck looks better with flares. My truck was bought used with aftermarket chrome flares/eyebrows. I took them off and surprise - starting the rub and rust a little.

Oh yeah, and while we're critiquing you truck . . . get those badges off your tailgate and you'll be real good to go I can't tell you how much better I like the looks of my tailgate after getting the badges off (I did leave the ram head under the handle though).
