How to remove the whole wipper arm?
I'm trying to take off the wipper arms to check and maybe swap but I cant seem to get them off and I dont want to break or scratch something. The hood doesnt seem to open far enough and I cant seem to do it when its closed either. I see a little clip like retainer or something like that at the base but not sure what it is. Whats the trick? Thanks for the help.

Ditto on the above. Also if you can direct a squirt of WD-40 using the plastic tube around the joint, then tap gently it with a mallet, it'll help break the corrosion.

Thanks, but I thought after looking at the way the hood opens I was under the impression I couldn't flip the wiper arm up to a 90*. But I will give it another try.

You can't, you have to lift the hood a little, but the post above is correct too.
