i just bought a remote starter and i have everything hooked up except for the tach sensor wire and the one that turn the grid heater on. does anyone know what they are. i assume there is a relay for the grid heaters. thanks.

The remote start should have a wait to start light wire. When current is applied by the remote starter to the ignition wire, the grid heater will automatically come on. When the light goes out on the dash, the remote starter will sense this and crank your engine. Not sure what color wire you are after, but I hope this helps. You may want to check www.the12volt.com for wiring colors/diagrams.

i had mine installed, the installer said he could not find out whuch wire was for "wait to start". he said he couldn`t find it in the service manual. what he did was put a small adjustable timer on it, under the dash. i have it set for 11 seconds. wait to start light stays on for 10 seconds. anyone else have this setup?
