I just put a remote start on my 05. I used a relay for a 590ohm negative trigger to the white/light green wire at the headlamp switch. When I trigger it, I get the parking lights and the fog lights. Is this normal? And if the switch in the truck is on, and I trigger the input the lights go out when the relay is on. I checked it all with my meter and I have 590ohm to ground. Should I be concerned? Kevin

i belive that there is two wires in the headlight switch that you can tap. one will give you just the parks and the other will give you both. i think the one for both witll only work for both if you have the fogs activated. i would not be concerned about it. sounds like you got it all figured out. turn off your fogs and see if it still does it.

I don't remember what resistor I used but I know it wasn't a 590k. I think it was more like a 10k. I should have my truck back tomarrow and I'll look.

The DEI guide I have says 590 ohms. As long as it doesn`t hurt anything I`m ok with it, but I would like to hear your guys experiences. Thanks, Kevin.
