What relay is it?

I found a relay below the steering column. It is in the junction where the wires from the turn signal switch and the wires from the ignition switch join together in the wiring harness by the steering column. Its a round metal relay . There are no numbers, just says made in Haiti.

It's probably the delay for the ignition key light.

i'm guessing the ignition halo ring is only available on tilt wheel models regardless of year or being non-i/c or i/c?

It is a non tilt steering wheel......the reason I'm asking is I can't get my turn signals to work. Didn't know if that relay had anything to with it. I already changed the flasher relay and that didn't help. I have flashers, just no turn signals. I've deduced it to somewhere between the Turn signal switch and the ignition switch, the fuse is hot and I've traced and repaired all wires and splices.

maybe change out the turn signal flasher. the flashers and turn signals are on separate circuits. you said you repaired all wires and splices but, is the fuse good or blown?

I was pulling some gross old wiring from under the dash yesterday and noticed this relay got pretty warm when the door was open and cooled down when it was closed. So I think it is for the dome and map light.

If you find the repair, please post.

My turn signal went out during a trip to Death Valley on Thanksgiving!!!. I've been today lazy to trace it down but with the rainy weather for the next week or so in the Bay Area, I decided today is the day since people's driving skill drops to half when it rains.

I have a similar problem. My hazard works but my turn signal doesn't.

According to my 1997 Service Manual, it does have a 'Turn Signal Flaser'. The wires going into the flasher is BK (Black) & RD/GY (Red/Grey).

Hmmmm......I thought the turn signal and hazards were in the same flasher. I'm waiting for my FSM to arrive in the mail from Geno's! There was another white plastic relay next to Hazard relay in the fuse panel?

wiring

Hounddog
there are wiring diagrams in the "sticky" for a 93. They appear to be pretty much the same as my 90,except for a couple of color differences. Check those out, they will help 'til the FSM arrives..
Yes, there are separate flashers for turn and hazard. they're on the fuze block on my 90. Just swap the two around and see if your flashers still work.
Ray
ps.Wow Dave! three minutes late! Well, you are getting older.

Is it the 'key-in-ignition' buzzer ??

Seems to me it hangs under the dash somewhere.
