the rear speakers are round. I just replaced mine. I believe they were 4 1/2
maybe 4 ". there is not enough room in there to install a larger speaker without cutting metal!

front speakers will take oval speakers some where around 5 1/2 by 7 or 6 If you call or go by Best buy or Circuit city, they'll tell you what will fit in the truck. you may be able to do it on their website

Speaker Size
I just changed mine out last night, the front door speakers are 6"x9", Pioneers bolt right in. The rear speakers in my 95 Are 5 1/2", all info I could find said they were 5 1/4". I got 5 1/4" ones and they almost did not make it to the screws that hold them in.
6.5" speakers wont work without cutting the hole larger. Or using an adapter or spacer plate.

I'd use a shear. Get one for cutting left or right and you can cut the metal in a circular direction. Its not that thick. A sawzall will shake the door and you violently when it starts to catch and wiggle the metal!
