Recall 819 question

My park lamp relay melted and the fusible link on the small pink with red stripe wire fried also. Took it to the dealer to have it repaired and they said it would be $250.00 to fix it. Then they called later and said they were going to replace the headlight switch but Chrysler was picking up the tab for that. I know they had a recall for the headlight switch but if mine had been replaced, they wouldn't be putting another one in on their dime would they. I wasn't pulling a trailer when the relay went up in smoke so I'm wondering if the headlight switch was the cause for the melt down. If the headlight switch was the cause shouldn't Chrysler pick up the whole tab for the repair?
