....considering a "new" trans from DC is around 5800.00 that makes it sound like a deal. A DC re-man is around 2800.00. ATS has "box lunch" trannys, but they are comparable in cost to the one you are looking at.

AFAIK there's also Goerend Brothers, Suncoast and some local shops that offer exchange trannies. Only got experience with DTT and the difference to a stock tranny (even a new one) is incredible.

AGREED! A friend of mine has an '01 with 40HP injectors and a Edge Comp, called Dave and told him he needed a tranny to hold that much HP. Dave sent him one for $2800!!!

I know where I'm getting a tranny/or parts to rebuild mine when I get my next truck.

You do have to send Dave back your original tranny, but at $2800 for a 400(or so)HP tranny with 100K mile warrenty I wouldn't worry about that OEM piece of junk.

Cool, Only thing then in 30 yrs when our trucks are considered collector items, a numbers matching truck would be expensive!!

As junky as these OEM dodge trannies are (autos) it will be down right impossible to find one!

I'll be in the market for a new tranny soon. How difficult is it to install Dave Goerend's transmission?

Not much difference between a tranny from Goerend Bro's or anyone else.
