rear window & topper donut connector

Looked ALL OVER! Does anyone know where I can buy an inflatable donut "like a inner tube" that fits in between the rear window cab and window of the camper top . It inflates and keeps air and rain from coming into cab or topper when both windows are open.
NEED IT DESPERATELY !!!!! email www.jimvicki3@juno.com

Thanks Shovelhead..The first clear one, "transparent" looks like what I need.

The second from Lear only showed a picture. The seperation between cab and camper top looked longer than mine but it looked better that the first.

How do I access Lear and get more info than just the picture...Thanks SOOOO much..

The one from Leer, shows the cap slip way back to show the compressable boot.

I'd look in your local yellow pages for a camper supply store.

Be careful, those donuts are well known for rubbing the paint on your truck down to bare metal

If there is any way you can just go ahead and have a full boot put in, you'll be a lot better off. Those boots, either inflatable or accordian/spring steel inserts, will be nothing but a pain. Inflatable will sand your paint off, as stated before. The other types, as well as inflatables, will not seal out rain OR wind. I've had both. I finally put in a full boot and was satisfied. If you're not gonna have the camper on for long periods, or just gonna need the boot a couple of days at a time, well, that's different. It wouldnt be worth the hassle of having one put in. But, if it's gonna be a permanent thing, get a full boot.

I agree with the above advice, the donuts will take your paint off quicker than you can say "dang". Full boots are much better.

A full boot requires the back glass of your truck and the front glass of your camper to be taken out. They put in a full window boot. It is screwed to the inside of the truck and the inside of the camper, spanning the distance between with rubberized sheet material/fabric. If installed right, it's a lot better looking deal. It's also much handier. It gives you a lot more room to move from the truck to the camper also. No wind/rain. No rubbing of paint, because the boot does not touch, except for the sills and the inside edges. They will pull your headliner loose to attach the anchor screws and then reattach. The one I had done(and several of my hauling partners' rigs) looked pretty good. You can still have camper darkness/privacy etc. by installing a heavy curtain on the inside of the camper.

Inflatable boot

Thanks everyone,

I just purchased one of those inflatable boots for my rear window.

For my application it's perfect as I will be only using it a day here or a day there. I use it on long trips and I could put a kid or two in the truck bed on top of thick foam where they can play their vidio games and give us the extra room . We have 4 kids.

The boot costs $40. and works GREAT.

Where on our way from Micminville Tenn to Franklin N.C. then back to Pensacola Fl.

I was using home insulation for a boot, rolled it up, and stuffed it in the space, but that got too challenging.
