My 2500 QC Short Bed doesnt have them ( they are an option I was told ), so I bought a pair from my Dodge dealer. I tried to install them sitting in my driveway / leaving the rear wheels on, but they dont fit properly ( they would require trimming ) AND the holes to mount them along the wheel opening do not line up. Any one else have this problem, or do I just have a bad set, or do I need to trim and drill ? I wrestled with them for quite a while !

Never heard of that problem before.

Did they mistakingly give you a set for a 2002 1500? (that would be the 3rd gen body style).

I had the same problem. Turns out the dealer gave me a set for the 03 style. If you have the right ones, they fit no problem. If you have the wrong ones.... well.. exchange them.

Thanks guys, sounds like I got the wrong set then . I will call and have them double check the set they gave me.
