Rear lift block??
Need help with some suspension options guys.
My truck had a Skyjacker 4" lift installed when I got it and its a few years old now, I guess the front springs have settled quite a bit so now the truck has the stock rake to it again. I really dont want to lift the front more but wondered about lowering the rear? I want to pull the 4" Skyjacker blocks and get a set of 2" (that will help with loading the camper also) but are they all equal in quality?
I have read that the dually ones are different but with out taking it apart first I have no reference pieces. Any suggestions on where to get them?

If they are solid you can do that but most aftermarket blocks are not solid. You can go to any spring shop and they can make them for you, not that expensive and they should be solid with the correct angle for the pinion angle.

Are you sure you have 4" blocks? Most 4" lift kits have 2"in blocks in rear. Or does you have 6" lift kit with 4" blocks in rear? Superlift makes a set of 2in blocks for use in there 4" kit that really aren't that expensive. I ran a set for a while before going on up in to a 4" block and you don't have to worry about changing out shocks since you are going down in size for a taller block and longer shocks.

I'm really not 100% sure....
Heres a pic, the area in red I believe is the lift block its 4"
Any one recognize the spacer in the green area for the air bags? Would I need to remove the same amount there also?

THAT'S NOT A 4" BLOCK. It looks like a 2"er. Looks like you will need new U bolts and yes you should remove the 2" spacer above the air bags if you decide to remove the block.
Good luck,

You won't be able to just remove the spacer above the air bags though, it looks like the bracket on the inside of the frame rail will have to be shortened as well. You could cut and weld it or someone may make a shorter version.

I think all he needs to do is pull the spacer. I have the same bags and the bracket on the inside of the frame isn't fastened to the frame it just pushes against the frame. The bolts bolt onto the bracket that goes into the bump stop mount.

Well I'll be a............ I could have swore I measured that block a while ago and it was 4" but you guys are right its only 2"
OK so if I pull it and the spacer for the bags I should be good to go, excellent!
Thanks for the info guys.
