Rear diff fill

how much doe's my 05 rear diff hold.If I put amsoil in it do I need anti slip additive.

The 11.5 AAM rear axle specs a 75W-90 fluid and the capacity is 8.8 Pints/ 4.2 Liters. No additive required.

On your truck there may be a "fill line" stamped on the rear cover. If you didn't know to look for it, it would be easy to miss. The full line is about 3/4" below the bottom of the fill hole.

Rubber gasket is reuseable. Spec is 24 ft/lbs plug and 30 ft/lbs cover bolts, but several people have snapped off cover bolts using a torque wrench to that setting, so I'd probably go 25 or so, or good and snug with a 3/8 drive ratchet.
