A regular one ton spring would be nicer and not so harsh of a ride. Anyone know if the springs can be swaped?

I think the 4500/5500 springs are longer..I will measure both tomorrow for you..

What about dropping the overload springs and adding air bags?

Colo, I think he is talking about 3500 C&C vs 3500 Pickup spring.

Yes I was looking at 3500 to 3500 swap.
When I'm empty is the problem so the overloads aren't a problem just the other 4 additional springs they put on the CC.
I'm thinking about just eliminateing about 3 or 4 of the lower ones and just putting a block in as a spacer, to keep the ride height.
I think the springs are the same between the two trucks and they just added the shorter ones under them on the CC?

Not a problem... Besides it saves me a trip to the outside world that is in the low teens and covered with snow..

Thanks for trying. Looking like another ice storm here. Darn more work....

If I keep the fuel tank full and now with the bed and 4 boxes it doesn't ride to bad so I may just leave it alone for a while and see how it feels.
