Rcd Suspension Problems

anyone have this much problem with RCD suspension company. I bought my lift kit through a local offroad shop almost 3 years later the control arm bushings are going bad have taken them apart a couple times and relubed them and cleaned them but they are bad and squeek and creak really bad just going over lips in the road. myself and the offroad company have emailed and talked to them many times last email from them 3 weeks ago telling me they are having trouble getting part numbers? so at this point options are to if possible get bushings from another source. the rear of the control arms have a encased heim sytle ball joint. any options or help on what you would do. I have also emailed king shocks which are normally good with customer service on getting a bigger diameter shock to run with current set up. but again rcd will not give me the specs on their 6" coils in there kit

To get bushings from a different source you might try Kartek at (951)737-2999, give them your specs and they should be able to get you something. To get King's for your truck call Carli at (714)532-2798, they offer a 2.5" pin top that will be your cheapest route and valved closest to what you need.

okay talked to Carli got a next day response they are working on a 6" kit so I will wait it out for there springs and shocks. I really thought my bushings on the control arms would be toast after 3 years of dunes and dirt and pressure washing etc. but after taking them apart they were good just needed re-greasing. but I did find my sound was the dang shocks. the lower bolts. I dont know how many times I have impacted the bolts on these and still now I see damage to the bushing on the bilsteins. they are 5100's and now the last week I have called bilstein and RCD on this and no one can give me the parts for bushings. I swear does anyone want to keep customers or get money.

On some trucks you have to use a punch/chisel around the bolt head, while tightening the bolt to help the metal "bend" enough to pinch on the shock mount,

I HATE RCD, even though I like the way thier stuff looks on my truck I wouldnt tell anyone to buy thier stuff. I even took all of the RCD badges off my stuff. Thier 6 inch springs didnt lift my truck 3 inches, when I called to ***** they said that no lifts really raise a truck what they claim to? I was so **** ******. I got Top Gun customz who I bought the kit from to give me a set of their 6 in coils for free even though it wasnt thier fault. They couldnt believe what RCD said to me. I have about 30k on my lift, no squeaks, but I have thought about what I am going to do when its time to rebuild the bushings in them?? Stay away from RCD junk

well I have about 50-60k on the lift kit. suprised that the control arm bushings were good just little dry. clean up and put better grease in them. but i should have measured them incase. yes RCD has been a real *$*% experience with customer service. funny King shocks you actually talk to someone on first call or sometimes even Ben King. Bilstein I called again 2 times today pleading that I get anyone even a janitor. and the reception line transferred me to another voicemail. how hard is it to get bushings. I read your thread when you were doing your build up in the past on the pain of RCD. I had already purchased my lift and was suprised to find out that the shocks they use are the same they would use on a 1500 according to the part number. my springs lifted the truck to just under 6" my only real problem was there trac bar bracket. finally just bought the dt-pro fab adj trac bar to fit.
