I just got a Ravelco installed the other day before I got home from Japan. The guy gave me a crazy good deal. What do you guys like or dislike about it?

At some point you will get used to pulling the plug out when you stop your truck and lock it up. The harder part will be too remember to plug it back in when you go to start it, and all the idiout lights come on, and nothing happens. Just remember to take the spare plug with you if you go out of town on vacation or whatever. If you lose the plug, you are screwed! When the wife and I take long trips out of town, she has the spare key and spare plug in her purse.

While the system prevents the vehicle from being stolen, it does not protect it from a break in. I've recently been the victim of my Ford being broken into, and the Ravelco will not help in that case...

CJ- You make a really god point to bring the spare with you! I would more then likley leave it and soething would endup happeneing!

snoyes- I never expected it to deter anone from breaking in. It doesn't matter what you do. A brick will always allow enterance to a car. I just want to make sure thats as far as my truck goes is a rock through the windshields and a few missing items while it sits in my driveway. I installed Jimmy Jammers a while back. Now this. So they have to be pretty determined to get a few small priced items from my truck.
