Rattle coming from shifting linkage.

I've got a annoying rattle coming from the shifting linkage for transfer case. I checked right below the shifter underneath truck & the bushing seems to be worn out where the shifter connects to the shifting linkage. I tried using some oil on it at first case it was making squeak noise, but now it just rattles...The truck is an 02' with auto trans.

Do you guys know if these bushings can be replaced. I've heard others complain about these shifting linkages causing rattling & squeaking noises.

I couldn't really find any place online that might sell this kind of replacement parts......

Thanks

I found this TSB on the 2001 models.

I was wondering if anybody has had experience with this problem?

21-12-00 Tapping/knocking sound during idle.
This bulletin applies to vehicles built before May 10, 2000, equipped with an automatic transmission. A tapping/knocking sound may be heard or felt in the driver side floor pan area during idle conditions. With the engine running at an idle, listen for knocking sound coming form the driver side floor pan area. If a tapping/knocking sound can be heard, replace the shift linkage with revised parts.

My 95 is doing the same thing. I can hold the 4 wheel drive shifter back and it stops. I'd be interested in how you fix it. I'll try the rubber washers.

I first tried the tab bending fix in the link above but the buzz came back.
Ended up doing the spring fix described at the top of this page http://dodgeram.org/tech/transmission/shifter_noise.htm
No problem for at least 10 years. I used a generic hardware store spring rather than the exhaust spring, think it was less than a buck.
