Raptor 100, drop the tank?
For the Raptor 100, what is the install scoop on that badboy? Is it something that one can just connect to their existing lines from the tank?

Thanx 06CTD. I am getting worried that I will not get a shop to remove my bed & do the AD150 right. I was supposed to get it this weekend, didn't happen. And I can't take my 4.4/Smarty off level 9, or I will cry.

Definately understand. Have you thought about using the Jeep canister? I know it's a relatively new idea, but it seems to work great and you don't have to worry about the 1/4 tank fuel issues. I've got a Walbro 392 and that is the problem I'm currently having. When I get close to a 1/4 tank, the crank times get long and the pressure jumps around. Slam on the brakes hard and it can (and will ) kill the engine. I'm going to try the Jeep canister and see what happens.

I guess I should read on it again. That thread got so long I stopped looking at it. I did get the Vulcan custom draw straw like 53 ****** used. It has seemed to work great for him.
Thanx.

Check out the newest thread posted on the Jeep canister. The guy put some pics in there. Looks like a great idea to me. I also read 53 ****** thread and he done a great job. If I were to do it again, I'd either remove the bed or install the Jeep canister.

That's what I did when I installed the GDP kit. However, if I were to do it over again I'd remove the bed because it's only like six bolts and I have access to overhead cranes. I just feel that it would be easier than dropping the tank -- or for me at least. Plus, you could easily install the draw straw and know that it is perfectly set up in the tank. Either way works good though.

just to clear up a few things...the raptor100 should be able to go in without removing the bed or tank on the earlier trucks with OUT the intank pumps....since your truck is a 06 you WILL have to drop the tank or pull the bed.
I dont have ANY problems with stumbling or dieing....but I do get really erratic readings when the tank gets low....it bugs me enough now that I think I will try the jeep canister or maybe save the cash and gut the stock canister then use my vulcan drawstraw by installing it in the canister.....I am a little worried about the 150 sucking it dry tho.....so I may run the AD return line into the canister...but I am afraid the AD would get noisy from sucking the air and fuel it just separated back up.....I will let you guys know how it goes after I get the canister re-installed...
