air bags for your truck. than you can level it out no matter what load you have. im sure there are better prices than this. just wanted to give you an idea.

The first thing I'd do is get rid of that PITA P/U box! But, if you really want to keep your P/U box, I'd do a little of both. Take some spacers out of the truck and then raise the trailer with some sq. tubing between the torsion axles and the frame. OR... put on a flatbed. I built a hauler bed on my 03 with low sides so I can easily accomodate my old low-rider 5er. I have 14" clearence. I've had one P/U that I left the box on and it sucked! I built beds for all the rest of them. The first one I built was a flatbed with removable sides but I never needed to remove the sides unless I got talked into hauling oversized, odd things for friends. I hauled a 10'x12' prefabbed storage shed once. Then I started building them with fixed sides that taper down at the back end for 5ers and g-neck clearence. They are great and I don't have to tie everything down that I throw back there! Craig

Only 3 options:

1. raise the trailer and add a loading ramp.
2. get a flatbed.
3. Lowering the truck will help level the trailer but the space between the bed and the nose will not change.

I would go for #2 and never worry about damage to the trailer or the truck.

My Grandfather had a system where he could use different beds. All I can remember about it was he had some mounting rails and had a Flatbed, a Regular Box, and a Special made Camper. He was an 'Old School' Body and Fender Man and made everythin but the Box himself. I wish I'd have paid more attention when I was younger. Each bed had manual crank jacks, he'd pull a couple of pins, jack it up, drive out. Then drive under the next bed.

By the look of it, those are some cheesy lift blocks in the back, don't even look stock.

Lower the truck to stock height, depending on tires, that will help a lot.

Another thing you can do, is carefully mark the locations of your trailer axles, for realignment purposes, then cut them off the frame, and use some 1/4 wall squared tubing as a lift block or spacer, build a welded subframe out of 2x3x1/4 tube, weld the ends in. put some crossmembers between the pieces of tube, to take up any lateral flex, then weld the axle mounts to the bottom of the subframe.

Just food for thought.

Looks like the trailer is going UP... had it looked at by too many to count at this point.. and while the blocks on the rear aren't the greatest they are solid and the truck is level ..

My brother is gonna raise it now everybody cross your fingers my horses don't kill themselves on the bigger step down

Thanks again guys I am sure this isn't the last of my silly questions

I don't want to hurt your feelings or be rude, but your trailer axles are welded to the frame of the trailer. That's not a good thing as far as I'm concerned. About 1/3 of the trailer manufacturers do that, mostly because they're too lazy to weld on the brackets that come with the axles, then BOLT the axles to the brackets. The brackets allow the welds to be placed more advantageously on the frame and also allow easy replacement of the axles. NOW, while your brother has the axles cut off, would be a good time to add those brackets instead of welding the axles back to the frame!
