Radiator/intercooler options for 91 non I/C
I'm going tomorrow to pick up my "new" 91.0 non I/C 3/4 ton. All it needs is a new grill and radiator (deer). I would like to add an intercooler at some point down the road, or maybe soon if i can gather all of the stuff.
My question is, should I look for a radiator from a 91.5-93 I/C? Would this make it any easier to add a 1st gen I/C? I figure since I need a rad anyway, I'll get one for I/C if it will fit and make it any easier once I go I/C.

It's not going to make much difference. If the truck is going to be a tow rig, the cooling upgrade is worthwhile, but for a play toy it's not wort the work to convert to the crossflow radiator.

the i/c radiator mounts differently on the i/c core support as well. unless you could fabricate some brackets to do so, you'd probably have to find an i/c core support. i'm sure you already know that you'd need an i/c thermostat housing and upper hose as well. those shouldn't be hard to come by. usually lots of engines are being parted out or the misc parts can be found in classifieds.
