Currently run a Racor 900HG Diesel filter on my 2003 Ram & am looking for a more inexpensive source for the 2040TM (10 mic) filter(s) which fit the Racor 900HG. I live in Northern Illinois & have yet to find a supplier or auto parts chain that offers loyalty reward points (such as AutoZone). I log a lot of miles and change filters fairly often & consider the 2040TM's a bit pricey @ $20 bucks a pop.

To lower operating costs, I've considered purchasing an identical spare Dodge Ram oem filter housing & running that on my spare bed tank since I can get oem stock filters for $8-$10 bucks a pop. The added convieniance of having the same oem filter for the truck & the spare tank filter seems like a no brainer... plus the oem's are availalble everywhere...even aftermarket @ the chain auto stores. (If I need an emergency Racor filter I'm dead in the water).
