Quick question about ST wiring harness.

Hey y'all... New guy here just lookin around on the forums. Looks like there's quite a few knowledgeable people here...

I have a question about my ST's wiring harness. I was thinking of trying to put in stock power windows if possible, but I need to know whether or not the stock ST's wiring harness comes with the necessary plugins to plug the door wiring harness into the main harness. If not, I might look into seeing how much trouble it'd be to replace the under-dash harness with an SLT harness. I've done a full harness replacement (under-hood and under-dash) on a 1st gen cummins before, but I'm sure that's like comparing apples to oranges with the 1st and 3rd gens.

Well, the good news is it is easier on a 2004 and possible, than a 2006 and newer. The plugs won't be there for you. You'll also have to get the TIPM/FCM from your donor truck as well. I like a project as much as anyone (got my butt kicked trying to add U-Connect to one though) but this one would entail almost entire interior removal and replacement. Best of luck!

Here's a link to the wiring diagrams. Dodge Bodybuilders Guide

You should be able to use it to figure out how much , if any, of the wiring exists.

Forward Control Module= (underhood relay box) now it's more of a computer in that it regulates what inputs get power. (i.e. press a power window switch down, the signal goes from the switch to this module then back to the window motor. The module is programmed by the trucks VIN as to what functions it supports. If the truck didn't come with power windows, then even if you add these and the wiring they won't work because the module doesn't support it.

TIPM is the second gen of the FCM and is even more complicated.

how do I know whether or not I need to replace these gadgets ratlratl? If so, can they/it be reprogrammed, or does it have to be replaced?
