questions about my 24 valve

i have a 99 ram 2500 24 valve, long bed quad cab 2wd. first- my upper ball joint on passenger side is going out. from what i ahve read they are welded in the control arms and n order to replace you must replace the whole control arm. true or not? if so any ways to get around this? second-there is a surge between 50- 65 mph, it has been checked out and nothing seems to be wrong. from reading i am gettin the hint a could be an issue with the apps. and third- my fuel pressure went from reading 7-10 down the highway and 15-16 idle and now sit in between 5-10 idle or down the highway, any ideas on what to check?

your fass have the filters? did you plumb through your stock filter? if yes I would change them first.

Yes, replace the filters first. Your low fuel pressure could be caused simply by dirty filters. It's the simple, cheap thing to eliminate before you start tearing things apart.
