Question on throttle response

Will a programmer increase throttle response? I have added a power puck and it did indeed help towing especially at freeway speeds, however I would like better throttle response. I would like it to be like a Hemi, very responsive. I have an '07 with a 5.9, the only change has been the addition of the puck. Thanks.

At the risk of sounding like a smarty cheerleader here yes throttle response was greatly improved by jr. I even saw a post in one of the smarty threads where some guy said it reminded him of his old hemi.

With the smarty you can choose how much throttle response you want. There is stock, moderate, or wild. I ran wild for a bit, there was fun things about it, like super sliding fun in the rain, but the wife could not drive the truck anymore. Now I have a different download (4.4), which I think I read is moderate (not sure, on that one though).

FYI.

I'm happy with my Smarty! Throttle response is very addictive, makes you want to get all kinds of supporting mods so you can crank it up!

Do you know what level the Smarty Jr. has the torque mgmt. set to? I don't want any more options than it has.

It would have it set to stock torque management.

I thought I read that the Jr was moderate torque management? That's what it felt like on my truck anyways compared to the Smarty Sr.

Answered my own question, in the description in the DTS store it states that the Jr. has " modified " torque management, that it is at a level to still save your tranny. Thanks for the help and advise.

Just so you know, the Smarty Jr dramatically increases the throttle response. It's an amazing little programmer and the power feels like much more than the stated levels. I loved mine!

Thanks for the help, with the power puck I have plenty of power to do what I want, but it just feels sluggish at the first hit of the throttle. I will probably order a Jr. in a week or so.
