Question - super low boost
At the end of a sled run (339 feet) I heard a pop and the truck just died. It was still running - i drove it to the pits and found i had blown a manifold gasket or two. I drove it home but could only build 5 pounds of boost... Gaskets being installed tommorow but... I was wondering if the gaskets being blown just by themself would allow the turbo to not build anymore boost than 5 pounds? I have checked the boots and they all look good. Any other things i should be checking? Plus who makes a great aftermarket boot for 3rd gens?
BTW I had a gasket leak for a couple weeks before it blew out.

I think just the gaskets will do it. I had blown out my pyro brfore and dramatically reduced the boost. Where were the pulls in WV? Not reedsville I hope.

you are at full boost, the gaskets blow, the turbo could potentially overspeed now that they are unloaded... the turbo may be damaged, you'll have to check it after the gaskets go in.
