Question for people with bigger injectors

Hi

I am having some smoke at idle with my injectors. Is it possible to have bigger injectors with stock amount of smoke at idle? So if you have bigger injectors an no smoke at idle, what brand are they?

Thank you
Dean

Short of adding some timing, you're pretty much at the mercy of the nozzle. I'm not familiar with the NE 370's, but if the spray angle isn't set up specifically for our piston bowls, there's bound to be some smoke/haze. My .02

Ive seen the New Era's 370 advertised on their site. I wonder if they are the marine injectors, or something they built and are calling 370's? I know they do EDM-ing and all....How do you like them otherwise?

The 370's that I got smoke at idle some. When cold they smoke a lot. I like them but I also like no smoke at idle. So for me they are not good. Right now I have my pump turned all the way down.

So I am still wondering if anyone with larger injectors has a clean idle? Or is it not possible with larger injectors.

My VW TDI has larger injector and hardly any smoke at all. But it is computer controlled and might be a different beast.

Thank you
Dean

Last Saturday I turned 265/556 on the dyno with injectors from Red Oaks Diesel. They do not smoke at idle and fuel mileage is between 16 and 17 plus depending on how I drive. I got them off ebay.

Mine are clean at operating temp, but they haze when cold.

My ddp's idle clean after the truck warms up, thats with lots of timing. Before the timing they were clean all the time. The EDM's on the other hand are a whole different story.
