question about isspro thermocouple
I'm trying to install my guages and I think I have the wrong thermocouple from Isspro. It is their number R650 and it has a 1/4 inch threaded nut on it. I though they were supposed to be 1/8 and mine is about 2 inches long from the bottom of the threads to the tip..am I missing something or did they spec me the wrong part. I forgot the 7 P's and didn't look ahead to make sure before I drilled the hole. I drilled and tapped for a 1/8 NPT (pre turbo) I guess I can plug it with a brass pipe plug until I figure out what is wrong or until I can get the right one in. Does anyone know the right part number? ??? T.I.A.

Re:question about isspro thermocouple
I got mine at eguages.com because Rod was out of them and didn't know when he would have a couple of the three guages I wanted in. I dont even see that part number on eguages site so guess Ill need to call them and set up an exchange..
thanks for the info. I cant see doing a 1/4 inch hole in the manifold so I can't adapt this one to fit..
thanks folks

Re:question about isspro thermocouple
I think so...Ive seen guys drill and tap 1/4" NPT then use a 1/4"X1/8" bushing to install the thermocouple probe.....I dont see a problem as long as you use some high temperature antiseize on the threads....
