Depends on the trailer. For 4x5:

27 Ft-14 Rolls
32 Ft-17 Rolls
36 Ft-20 Rolls
40 Ft-23 Rolls

Ive hauled 25 on a 36, but thats doubled on top

I wouldnt go over a 30 Ft without tandem duals..

Pm if you have other questions

You really need a good estimate of the weight of the bales. I have seen large round bales from 800# to 1800# each, just depends on the baler and moisture content.

I have hauled 12 4x6s at about 1,000lbs each behind an F250 on a 24' 10 ton. I didnt have or feel any problems with the stability of the truck.

Boy, I could of made some money this weekend. Drove 6 hrs to pickup some hay for myself and one other person. When I stopped to drop this person's hay off it only took 3 min. for someone to whip in behind my trailer wanting to buy some and this was in the middle of nowhere. So I sold him one 72lb square bale because that was all I was willing to part with for 10 bucks. That didn't hardly cover squat of my expenses tho. I bought the last 36 square bales they had. I could of carried alot more. The price of hay is crazy in my area. I just shop online and go pick it up. Gotta be quick because it dosen't last long.

If anybody has any good Horse quality Coastal bermuda square bales wanting to deliver just send me a PM. Sorry about the trip off the main topic, so back from the comercial to the real show.....

I've put 17 5x6s on a 35' trailer behind my truck. But if I had to do it all the time, I'd feel much better running a dually.
